Edit: Believe it or not, this journal will actually see some action - scribbld is getting on my nerves with all the spam comments and I just joined nanomango for this round or insanity... There will be comic pages in here this November.

I decided to update with five pages every five days (save for the "first page" (aka ze splash page) with was posted on time on the first)! Depending on how the story plays out once sketched I might ad a "31st" page.

This was just hastily inked since it looked rather stupid as a white backgrounded sketch with random "x":es all over (denoting that I should fill those fields with black).

Yeah, I'm doing NaNoMangO this November - 30 comic pages in 30 days while taking two University courses, finishing up some old stuff and writing my thesis... I have a feeling that I will either go insane, implode, explode, drop dead or finally cure my insomnia - whichever it is will be fine by me.

I've had an idea for a story/comic for quite a while about a steam-punk kind of world where the Roman Empire never fell - I hope I can make it work.

Anyhow, I filled in the pre-nanomango meme:s and it was a lot of fun (see I'm having fun already!), but I got a feeling that once the month starts I only have time to sketch out the pages - line art will have to wait for a rainy day (or Christmas) :3

I’m going to do the fangirl thing right now – Stargate Universe makes me so very happy.

Usually I hate spinoff series and it takes me months to accept them (took most of season one of SGA to make me like it and it took two years until I managed to even watch ST:ENT), but this is different – they have Robert Carlyle and Lou Diamond Phillips!

They have two of my teenage years’ actor crushes on the cast and their characters are just brilliantly amazing and OMG I just love this series so much now :3

Sure they have “a serious problem” in every episode, but still – Robert Carlyle! I can accept clichés and repeating storylines for his sake.

Oh, and the million year old Alteran spacesuits are just great, though they look almost identical (save for the helmets) to the ones worn by the renegade Asgard in SGA (I refuse to believe that a race as smart as the Asgard just went (ten thousand years ago when they broke off from the main group): “Woopie-dee-dippy oh look at these nifty looking antique spacesuits we just happened to find in this hundred thousand year old alteran building we just ran across – let’s rebuild their insides so that it morphs to our bodies and then use them to make us look big and intimidating!” – they are creative enough to make their own stuff without scavenging like us humans do.)

It just hit me – I think I like this series better when I’m not analysing it because whoever was in charge of storyline/scripting and costumes/accessories lacks basic logic. Illogical series with too little plot seems to be a common theme for my fangirlisms – I think I have a serious problem.
